Background: The school's existing safety protocols required improvement. Although they had access control systems in place for both pedestrian and vehicle gates, these systems frequently malfunctioned and failed to comply with current safety standards. Furthermore, once a vehicle gained entry to the premises, access to the school grounds became possible.
Solution: We renewed the front fencing, installing a new vehicle and pedestrian gate with automation that is CE-marked and complies with the machine directive. We also installed internal fencing, including automating two vehicle gates and another pedestrian gate. This ensures that once a visitor enters the site, they only have access to the school's reception area. We also installed all the necessary ducting and liaised with the school's current access control contractor to ensure that both systems worked together.
What we installed:
2m high Bow Top Railings with vehicle and pedestrian gates.
2.4m Vertical Bar Diamond to View Tubular Railings with vehicle and pedestrian gates.
3 vehicle gates with automation.
2 pedestrian gates ready for access control, and all required ducting.
