Giving you full control who enters and exits your site
The next layer of convenience, security, and efficiency, our company is dedicated to offering a comprehensive range of cutting-edge gate automation systems and access control options designed to meet the diverse needs of our valued customers.
Whether you're looking to enhance security, streamline access, or simply add a touch of modernity to your premises, our solutions are tailored to make your life easier and safer. Let us guide you through our innovative offerings and help you discover the perfect solution for your unique requirements.
Bringing together many different competencies, we have extensive experience in the installation of automated gates, ensuring each is compliant to current regulations and is safe to use.
Vehicle Swing Gates
When combined with an access control system, an automated vehicle gate becomes a highly convenient solution for managing access to your parking area. You won't require manual gate operation at different times of the day. Our automated swing gates include the following features:
Motor operators equipped with obstacle detection technology.
Control board housed in an IP-rated metal enclosure to protect the electronics.
All necessary photocells for safety.
CAT3 safety edges for added protection.
Maglock for enhanced security.
Fire brigade switch and warning signs for emergency situations.
Furthermore, we provide comprehensive handover documentation and offer a demonstration to ensure you are fully acquainted with the gate's operation.
Pedestrian Gates
Pedestrian gates can incorporate a cost-effective hydraulic closer, which allows the gate to self-close after the user either pushes or pulls it, with the closing speed being fully adjustable. The next level of convenience involves automating the gate, enabling it to both open and close automatically. Automating a pedestrian gate is particularly advantageous for individuals with disabilities or the elderly, who may encounter difficulties when manually pushing or pulling a gate equipped with a self-closer.
Sliding Gates
Our sliding gates are equipped with pre-installed automation systems that adhere to the latest safety standards and can be linked with any access control system. We offer a variety of infill options for the gate leaf, including various mesh types, railing choices, and even timber if desired. As a standard feature, we install a ‘roll-back’ fence to prevent individuals, especially children, from accessing the moving parts of the gate. We also supply and install manual operated sliding gates.
Bi-Fold Gates
Bi-folding gates are ideal for properties with limited space as they do not swing open like traditional swing gates. Instead, they fold inwards or outwards, making them a space-saving solution. Additionally, they boast the advantage of quicker opening times compared to standard swing or sliding gates. Furthermore, similar to the other gate types mentioned, bi-folding gates can accommodate various access control options tailored to the specific needs of the site.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)
Our number plate recognition camera system is designed to efficiently manage access, particularly suited for sites where swift vehicle entry is crucial. Once vehicles are registered, the system operates 24/7 without the need for user intervention. Moreover, it boasts a high level of sophistication, ensuring that only vehicles with number plates conforming to current UK regulations are granted access. This user-friendly system ensures hassle-free operation.
The parts that bring it all together.
Gate Design
All automated gates are designed to incorporate RAM and maglock installation. Low friction, heavy duty hinges with grease nipple installed as standard and are positioned to ensure minimal gap reduction. We are a ‘Gate Safe’ aware contractor and take gate safety very seriously.
Automation
RAM’s installed to each gate with all currently required safety features. All automation and access control Installations are UKCA Marked and comply with the Machinery Directive and EN 12445.
Electrician
We can organise an NICEIC and Part P approved electrician to bring power from the nearest fuse-box to the gate’s new control box, providing the required completion and testing certificates.
Ducting/Groundworks
We can organise all required groundworks for the site. Ducting is usually installed from the nearest fuse box to each gate’s control box and local gate ducting, including access chambers and reinstatement of ground surfaces
Access Control
We install various different options to suit your specific requirements. Example options include intercoms, videocoms, GSM system, proximity readers, fire alarm connections, timer systems & Paxton systems with user rights.
Handover
Gates will be tested, demonstrated and the following certificates produced: Declaration of conformity, commissioning sheet, O&M manual, user manual, force test results.
Typical Access Control Options
There are various access control options available to cater to the specific requirements of each individual gate, both for entry and exit:
Intercom with Receiver: This setup includes an interface with a button on one side of the gate, allowing users to communicate with someone who can grant access. The receiver serves as the handset for the person controlling access.
Intercom with Video and Receiver: Similar to the intercom with a receiver but with one-way video functionality, enabling the person in control to see who is requesting access.
Fob System/Proximity Readers: Utilises a proximity plate installed on a gate post, allowing access by simply touching a fob or card to the plate.
Push Button Transmitters: Keychain-style remote transmitters that can be pressed from a vehicle to open the gate.
Keypad Entry: Users enter a code on a keypad to gain access.
'Push to Exit' Buttons: A button that provides free access to anyone who presses it.
GSM System: An intercom system that operates over a mobile phone contract, eliminating the need for hardwiring.
Timer: Allows you to set specific times for the gate to open and close, facilitating free access during predetermined periods.
Fire Brigade Switch: Installed outside the gate, this box grants access to emergency services using a special key.
Free Exit Loop: A ground-installed loop behind a vehicle gate that detects vehicles and permits free exit.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR): Enables automatic gate opening when a registered vehicle's number plate is detected on the list.
If some of these systems are already integrated into the main building of the site, the existing access control contractor can extend these features to the gates as part of the existing system. However, if the building lacks access control, we can include access control options in our quote for each required gate.
Recent Projects
“We had a full and extensive replacement/upgrade to our school gates, including 3 automated vehicle and 2 access controlled pedestrian gates, allowing us to create 2 secure lines around the school. Glenn and his team produced high quality work and kept us updated all the way through. All people on site were professional and considerate of the school/students. After completing, the handover was full and comprehensive, and Glenn even returned to double check everything was working properly a few weeks later. We are really happy with the work carried out and would happily recommend the team at Alltype Fencing.”
